Lion’s Mane Mushroom: 3 Easy Recipes

Crispy Lion’s Mane “Crab Cakes”
Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
- 1 lb lion’s mane mushrooms, shredded
- 1 Tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp of paprika + garlic powder
- Zest of 1/2 lemon
- Salt & pepper
Directions:
- Sauté mushrooms in oil over medium-high until moisture cooks out and edges lightly brown (8–10 min). Cool slightly.
- Mix mushrooms with remaining ingredients.
- Form 6–8 small patties.
- Pan-sear in a lightly oiled skillet, 3–4 minutes per side, until golden.
Serve With
Lemon-yogurt sauce, sliders, or a simple green salad.
Swap It
Egg-free? Use 2 Tbsp mayo or flax egg. Gluten-free? Use GF crumbs.
Garlic-Butter Sautéed Lion’s Mane
Time: 15 minutes
Vibe: Simple, fast, weeknight side
Ingredients:
- 1 lb lion’s mane, sliced into slabs
- 2 Tbsp butter or olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & pepper
- Lemon wedge
Directions:
- Heat fat in a wide skillet over medium-high.
- Add mushrooms in a single layer. Don’t stir for 3–4 minutes.
- Flip, add garlic, cook 2–3 minutes more.
- Season and finish with lemon.
Serve With
Eggs, steak, pasta, or grain bowls.

Pulled Lion’s Mane Tacos

Ingredients
- 1 lb lion’s mane, shredded
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp tomato paste
- Salt
- Corn or flour tortillas
Instructions
- Sauté onion in oil until soft.
- Add mushrooms and cook until slightly crispy.
- Stir in spices and tomato paste; cook 2 minutes.
- Season and serve in warm tortillas.
